Youth, I.N.C.'s mission is to improve the lives of America’s youth through a unique venture philanthropy model that empowers, develops, and educates nonprofit organizations serving young people. We improve the lives of kids by strengthening the organizations that serve them.

Youth, I.N.C. forms long-term relationships with nonprofits and offers training, mentoring, and support to build more effective and sustainable organizations. Like the proverb, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime," at Youth, I.N.C., we help organizations help themselves. We:

  • Organize, manage, and finance events that bring nonprofits together to cultivate donors, raise funds, and make new connections.
  • Train nonprofit executives to broaden their networks, select and secure fundraising leadership, and raise public awareness of the youth programs and services they offer.
  • Provide daily coaching to promote organizational success through workshops, personalized consultations, strategic planning, and access to our connections.
  • Build established and influential boards of directors who can open doors to corporate America and advance the organization.

Urban Institute Report

In 2003, Youth, I.N.C. commissioned The Urban Institute to evaluate our programs. We knew we offered a unique set of efficient and cost-effective services to the nonprofit community, but we wanted to know just how effective our programs were. The report praises Youth, I.N.C.’s contribution to the long-term self-sufficiency and success of nonprofits. The report specifically notes the effectiveness of our "learning by doing" approach and our ability to leverage our corporate relationships to benefit our nonprofit partners.
