Joseph Watkins is a nationally known political commentator and host on television and radio drawing on decades of experience as a former US Senate staffer, White House aide, businessman, and pastor of the oldest African American Lutheran church in Philadelphia.  Mr. Watkins is currently an MSNBC political analyst, and recently analyzed the 2008 Presidential race regularly for both the Republicans and Democrats.  A host of the nationally and internationally televised prime time show "Praise the Lord" on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, he has also been the host of the "Joe Watkins Show" on the Big Talker 1210 WPHT in Philadelphia. Mr. Watkins was also a regular co-host of CNN's "Crossfire" from 2004 until 2005.

With over thirty years of experience in politics, finance, and strategy consulting, Joe Watkins previously served as a director of Hill Solutions, managing director and principal of MDL Capital Management firm, and President of Advent Capital Management Partners until its merger with MDL Capital. 

Before entering the financial services industry, Mr. Watkins ran his own strategic advisory consulting firm in Philadelphia.  He opened the firm in 1991 after serving as associate director at the White House Office of Public Liaison during President George H. Bush's administration.

Mr. Watkins completed his Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters degree in Christian Education from Princeton Theological Seminary.  Mr. Watkins serves on numerous boards including the Middlesex School Board of Trustees, the Eastern Technology Council, and Youth, I.N.C.  He is also pastor of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, the oldest African-American Lutheran Church in Philadelphia.
