Stories of Transformation
Stories of Transformation
We are proud to work with and support some of the most innovative, promising and effective youth-serving organizations in our city.
Early Stages Program
Joining the Youth, I.N.C. Celebration program was a turning point for our small organization. Not only does Youth, I.N.C. have a wealth of knowledge and methods to draw on from its years of experience working with nonprofits, but they also take the time to understand the unique strengths and challenges of each organization. Youth, I.N.C. has provided the tools, coaching, and workshops that have inspired our board to successfully work together as a fundraising team. Our ability to carry out our mission has been greatly enhanced as a result of our partnership with Youth, I.N.C. Learn More >
Friends of the Children NY
The first generous Fund of Funds grant allowed us to experiment with new ways to keep our donors engaged, resulting in a 90 percent increase in returning donors between 2009 and 2010, notes Executive Director Bob Houck. The second grant allowed us to bring on a full-time Philanthropic Associate to expand all aspects of our fund development initiatives. We anticipate this will lead to a 13 percent increase in the number of children we will serve this year. Learn More >
Futures and Options
We are absolutely thrilled to have been admitted to the Youth, I.N.C. program this year, not only because it will help us raise the funds we need to enhance our sustainability and build our capacity, but because we are receiving so many added benefits along the way. The training, support, and consulting services, would not be available to us without Youth, I.N.C. It’s a brilliant concept that is exponentially making a positive and enduring difference for so many of the children in our city. Futures and Options is looking forward to “planning for success” with Youth, I.N.C. this year and taking our program to the next level. We are truly appreciative of the efforts their team puts in to make that happen! Learn More >
iMentor
The structure and ongoing support provided by Youth, I.N.C. was critical to iMentor’s success. The partnership also prepared us well for other fundraising partnerships, which garnered $2 million to fund the launch of our technical assistance program. Learn More >
Parent-Child Home Program
Between 2004 and 2009, Youth, I.N.C. introduced PCHP to four new board members. Youth, I.N.C.’s first placement, Eric Hess, recently became the Board’s new President, and secured the honoree for PCHP’s inaugural gala event in 2010. Another placement, Sonia Hamstra, has stepped into the role of First Vice-President, and will eventually lead PCHP’s Board. Learn More >
