$1.1 Million Raised for NYC Kids!
On Thursday, October 20, 100% of designated commissions on equity trades made through Piper Jaffray were donated to Youth, I.N.C. for the 6th annual Trading Day for Kids. Trading Day for Kids provides a vehicle for the institutional investor and greater financial community to support Youth, I.N.C. and its venture philanthropy model that empowers, develops, and educates nonprofit organizations serving young people. To date, Trading Day for Kids has raised nearly $7.6 million.

To celebrate the day’s success, Youth, I.N.C. partnered with NASDAQ to host over 75 guests at NASDAQ’s Closing Bell Ceremony. Board member Bob McCooey, Senior Vice President, NASDAQ OMX, Tom Schnettler, President and Chief Operating Officer, Piper Jaffray, and Steve Orr, Executive Director, Youth, I.N.C., were featured in the Closing Bell broadcast transmitted live in Times Square. Following the ceremony, Piper Jaffray hosted a closing reception to commemorate the day. Guests from eleven nonprofit partners and Piper Jaffray traders and executive staff participated in the day's events.
